American Airlines is bringing back daily nonstop service between New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac), marking a return after an eight-year hiatus.
Starting April 6, 2027, American will operate two daily round-trip flights between JFK and SeaTac, which was last flown by the carrier in July 2019.
The service aligns with American’s broader spring schedule updates and its ongoing partnership with Oneworld ally Alaska Airlines, anchoring out of American’s hub at JFK Terminal 8.
Here is what the schedule will look like:
- AA437: Departs JFK at 07:45, arriving in Seattle at 11:20
- AA1389: Departs JFK at 5:29 p.m., arriving in Seattle at 9:12 p.m.
- AA342: Departs Seattle at 11:33 a.m., arriving at JFK at 8:10 p.m.
- AA1306 (Red-eye): Departs Seattle at 10:38 p.m., arriving at JFK at 7:02 a.m. the following morning.
The route will be serviced by 196-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft featuring First Class, Main Cabin Extra, and standard Main Cabin seating. The A321neo single-aisle aircraft will not feature lie-flat business class seats, a Premium Economy cabin, or seatback entertainment screens, though power outlets and USB ports will be available.
Tickets for the newly loaded flights officially went on sale, giving advisors and travelers another transcontinental option as airlines shape their capacity and network footprints for the summer 2027 season.
