BermudAir Enhances Fare Structure, Adds Categories

BermudAir has added two new fare categories, expanding its offering to five fare types total, effective immediately.

BermudAir, the first Bermuda-based airline, launched in 2023 with business-class seats only, eventually adding Economy Light and Economy Classic tiers. Now, customers can also choose from Economy Max and Business Light.

The different fare categories offer passengers more flexibility for options like checked baggage, lounge access, refunds, and priority boarding.

“We’re excited to enhance our fare structure with more choice and flexibility,” said Leslie Peden, senior vice president of sales and distribution at BermudAir. “These fare types offer varying levels of booking flexibility and baggage allowances, catering to different traveller needs and budgets.”

BermudAir’s fare types explained

All of BermudAir’s fare categories include one personal item and one carry-on item.

Economy Light: Checked luggage for a $60 fee (~$85 CAD), and a change fee of $100 USD (~$140 CAD) per person, plus fare difference. Tickets are non-refundable and ineligible for upgrades.

Economy Classic: One free checked luggage up to 70 lbs (32 kgs). Changes made up to seven days before travel are free; otherwise, a fee applies per person ($100 USD plus fare difference). Refunds will be issued as a travel credit, and guests can upgrade on the day of travel for a fee.

Economy Max: One free checked luggage, changes are free, and refunds can be issued back to a credit card. Guests have lounge access, where applicable, priority boarding, and can upgrade tickets on the day of travel for a fee.

Business Light*: One free checked luggage, lounge access, and priority boarding. The change fee applies, and refunds will be issued as future travel credits.

Business: Two free checked luggage, lounge access, priority boarding, free changes, and refunds will be issued back to a credit card.

*Currently the BermudAir website also divides these categories as “Business” and “Business Max.”
