Delta Expands Japan Service with New Seattle to Tokyo-Narita Route

Delta Air Lines is expanding its service from the U.S. to Japan.

Delta announced on Saturday that it will add daily nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Tokyo-Narita International Airport (NRT) beginning March 27, 2027, expanding its trans-Pacific footprint from its West Coast hub.

The new flight complements Delta’s existing daily nonstop service between Seattle and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (HND), giving the Delta dual-airport coverage in Japan’s capital. Delta also operates flights to Haneda from Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), Los Angeles (LAX), and Honolulu (HNL).

Delta will fly the Narita route using an Airbus A330-900neo, which includes Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Main Cabin seating.

Seattle is now one of Delta’s busiest hubs. The airline operates more than 160 peak-day departures to over 62 destinations from Seattle, including new nonstop service to Barcelona (BCN) and Rome (FCO). Delta now flies 24% of total passenger volume at Seattle, the second largest share behind Alaska Air Group, which controls at least 50% of Seattle-Tacoma’s passenger volume.

Delta also has a Delta One Lounge in Seattle-Tacoma in Concourse A, near Gate A11 that includes a fully covered outdoor terrace, the first one of its kind at the airport.
