Flair Airlines Launches Routes from Toronto to Newfoundland

Canadian low-cost carrier Flair Airlines has launched new flights connecting Toronto to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Starting yesterday (May 6), Flair is flying from Toronto Pearson International Airport to St. John’s International Airport three times a week. From May 28 to October, the frequency increases to four times a week.

On May 27, the airline is also introducing a new direct flight from Toronto Pearson to Deer Lake Regional Airport. This flight will be available three times a week until October 7.

“Today, I am happy to announce that Flair is now flying direct, affordable flights to St. John’s, Newfoundland from Toronto, Ontario. Offering this nonstop between Toronto Pearson and Newfoundland is proof-positive of Flair’s ongoing desire and commitment to link all parts of Canada, for less,” said Garth Lund, chief commercial officer at Flair, in a statement.

Flair is gearing up for its “busiest season yet,” according to a press release. Last week, the company announced that troubled Miami-based 777 Partners had transferred its stake in the airline to an unnamed lender, providing new non-binding debt funding.

“We are excited about this strategic evolution and the new financial commitment,” said Stephen Jones, CEO and president of Flair Airlines, in a press release. “We are grateful for their support as we chart the course for continued growth.”
