Hawaiian Airlines is now part of the oneworld alliance, one of the three largest airline alliances in the world. The news had always been coming since Hawaiian was acquired by Alaska Air Group in September 2024, and now the airline will sit alongside Alaska and American Airlines in oneworld.
Hawaiian coming aboard officially adds several Pacific locations that were previously outside the alliance’s direct network, including Hilo (Hawai’i), Rarotonga (Cook Islands), Pago Pago (American Samoa), and Papeete (Tahiti).
It also gives oneworld flyers access to 140 daily inter-island flights within Hawai’i.
Beyond the new destinations, the move integrates Hawaiian into the new Atmos Rewards loyalty program, allowing travelers to earn and redeem points across the alliance’s global network.
oneworld now includes 16 total airlines: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Air, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines. It is the third largest global airline alliance behind Star Alliance, led by United and Lufthansa, and Sky Team, which is led by Delta and Air France-KLM.
