Lufthansa Group Introduces “Book-a-Group” For Travel Trade

The Lufthansa Group airlines, Austrian, Lufthansa and SWISS, has launched an integrated group booking tool that is exclusively available to tour operators, consolidators and travel agents.

Available in 14 languages, Book-a-Group lets agents booking groups of 10 or more request any flight combination among the three airlines and receive an immediate confirmation and a price quote in real time.

Groups can consist of private individuals, business travelers or tourists.

One interesting enhancement is a short-term booking option that allows agents to cancel bookings at no charge within 72 hours of the booking, and also within 60 days of the actual flight.

All services for the group will now be provided through one point of contact, rather than having different contact persons for each airline. And the new “Book-a-Group” tool can be used to request different Lufthansa Group airline flight combinations, including Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, as well as other Lufthansa partner airlines.
