United Airlines has announced the expansion of its service to Dublin, better connecting the U.S. to Ireland’s capital.
The Star Alliance member will now operate daily nonstop flights between Chicago and Dublin, as well as a second daily New York (Newark Airport) route, expanding the seasonal service into the winter months. With the second daily Newark service will operate almost year-round, with a brief suspension of service between Jan. 5 and Feb. 20, 2026.
In December, United Airlines doubled its service between Dublin and Washington DC for the summer season, increasing capacity by 40%.
With the additional service, United Airlines is now offering more flights and seats to Ireland than any other U.S. airline.
“This significant expansion further underlines the importance of Dublin within United’s global network,” said Karolien De Hertogh, United’s UK and Ireland sales director, said.
“Our customers in Ireland will benefit from even greater travel choice in the winter season, with the possibility to seamlessly connect via our hubs in New York/Newark, Chicago O’Hare and Washington DC to over 140 destinations in the Americas.”
United will also be extending its seasonal Washington DC-Edinburgh service; the daily service was scheduled to end on Oct. 25, but will now continue five times a week until Jan. 5, 2026. The service will resume on Feb. 20, 2026.
