TMR and MMGY today opened up the survey for the third round of the Travel Advisors COVID-19 Sentiment Barometer, an online survey designed and analyzed by MMGY Travel Intelligence, the goal of which is to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on travel agencies.
Results from the second wave revealed that the majority of travel being booked is for seven or more months in advance and that the time frame is even longer for international travel, cruises and group tour vacations.
Overall, results from the second wave found that 42% of all inquiries received by advisors are about U.S. destinations. Prior to COVID-19, domestic destinations made up only about 16% of all inquiries. Outdoor vacations, specifically to North American beach and mountain destinations, continue to be of most interest to clients in the next six months.
Now, TMR and MMGY are opening up the survey for the third wave in order to further understand where clients’ bookings are headed as well as their preferences.
The survey, which takes 10 minutes to complete, can be accessed here.
