Marriott to Launch Fairfield Brand in China

by Jessica Montevago  February 18, 2016

Marriott International has inked a deal with Eastern Crown Hotels to bring its Fairfield Inn & Suites Hotels to the Chinese market. Marriott and Eastern Crown hope to sign 140 hotels within the next five years, and to open a majority of them before 2021.

Under the agreement, members of Eastern Crown’s loyalty program will be able to redeem their points for stays at Marriott properties.

The company said the midscale hotel is geared towards younger guests and business travelers.

Eastern Crown Hotels Group is a privately held, Guangzhou-based hotel group. It has a portfolio of over 700 hotels either open or under development in 200 cities in China and Malaysia.
