Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has updated its travel agent training program, Uniworld University, for 2018 Wave Season with a new training course for its newest brand, U by Uniworld.

The new U by Uniworld specialist designation is required for agents who want to sell the brand. It includes information about the brand along with tips on how to introduce river cruising to new cruisers aged 21- to 45-years-old. It is accredited by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

“Agents are our most trusted partners, an extension of our team in the marketplace and so it is imperative that we offer them the best, most comprehensive and engaging training tools in the industry,” Uniworld CEO Ellen Bettridge said in a statement announcing the program additions.

The training also includes information on Uniworld’s newest super ship, S.S. Beatrice, which will debut in April after a bow-to-stern renovation, with a grand staircase, a private dining area, and three new suites.

Information about Uniworld’s new Remarkable Rhine itinerary on the Connoisseur Collection, and a Holiday Season-themed cruise will also be included in the updated course.

All agents who become a Uniworld River Cruise specialist will become eligible for travel agent rates up to 70 percent off of published fares.

“We are committed to the success of our travel partners and understand the critical role training plays in their ability to achieve goals,” said Kristian Anderson, senior vice president of global sales for Uniworld.” Enhancing and improving Uniworld University demonstrates this and is among the multiple ways Uniworld recognizes and continues to strengthen our shared potential. We succeed together.”
