Emirates Deploys Airbus 350s on YUL-DXB; Expands Premium Economy Across Global Network

Emirates Deploys Airbus 350s on YUL-DXB; Expands Premium Economy Across Global Network

Ermirates is expanding Premium Economy and upgrading aircraft that will see retrofitted A380s, upgraded Boeing 777s, and new Airbus A350 deployments across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.

The airline also announced it has deployed its new Airbus A350 on flights between Dubai and Montréal, marking a significant milestone for the airline’s Canadian operations. The airline says the “introduction of the A350 brings Canadian travellers expanded access to Emirates’ signature Premium Economy cabin, offering greater choice and enhanced comfort on long-haul journeys.”

As part of its ongoing retrofit programme, the airline is set to complete the upgrade of its first high-density, two-class A380 by mid-April. The aircraft will be reconfigured into a three-class layout featuring 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 437 Economy Class seats. Multiple European and North American cities will see upgraded aircraft deployment including Milan, Zurich and from JFK.

Montréal also becomes the first destination within Emirates’ 19-city Americas network to be served by the airline’s newest aircraft type. The A350 features Emirates’ award-winning Premium Economy experience on flights to and from Dubai.

Besides Premium Economy, customers can fly in Business Class cabins featuring leather lie flat seats, inspired by the Mercedes S Class.

The Emirates Airbus A350 complements the airline’s existing fleet of Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s serving its Americas network. Toronto, Emirates’ other gateway in Canada, is served with daily flights operated by its flagship A380 aircraft.

The Emirates A350 replaces the Boeing 777 on the route, operating daily to and from Montréal on EK243 and EK244 with the following schedule (all times are local):

  • EK243: The flight departs Dubai at 02:45 hrs, arriving in Montréal at 07:35 hrs.
  • EK244: The flight departs Montréal at 10:40 hrs and arrives in Dubai at 08:00 hrs (next day).

Through its codeshare partnership with Air Canada, Emirates customers can access 37 additional points in Canada and the US, from Montréal and Toronto.
