Enhancing Travel with Plaza Premium Lounges

by Marsha Mowers  October 31, 2025
Enhancing Travel with Plaza Premium Lounges

Pascal Belanger, Senior Vice President, Americas at Plaza Premium Group.

Travel advisors know it’s the little touches that can really make their clients’ trip exceptional from start to finish, and so does Plaza Premium Group.

Opening their first lounge in Vancouver in 2004, they’re now at all major airports across the country (Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton and Winnipeg) and have 18 lounges nationwide, including 13 Plaza Premium Lounges, one Plaza Premium First and four others in partnerships with leading airlines and financial institutions.

“Canadians have really embraced what we stand for – a better way to travel,” Pascal Belanger, Senior Vice President, Americas at Plaza Premium Group told Travel Market Report Canada. “In the past 12 months, we have welcomed over 3 million guests collectively, and we continue to see growth.”

“We’ve designed our offerings to be flexible and tailored to different types of travellers and partners. For travel advisors and industry partners, advisors can incorporate lounge access into client itineraries as an add-on, a gift or part of a premium package.”

Belanger explains that access options include single-lounge visits, tailored packages combining lounge and Meet & Assist services and its Smart Traveller loyalty program, which allows partner clients to store lounge access digitally and use it within a set validity period.

Plaza Premium Group is also working with a number of financial institutions, aggregator platforms and airlines that direct their clients to its lounges. At select locations and for select clients, rooms or exclusive sections can be provided for VIPs offering an above and beyond experience.

“Partnerships are central to how we operate,” explains Belanger. “These partnerships can extend beyond our lounges. For example, we’ve worked with airlines and financial institutions to build and manage co-branded lounges, offering elevated experiences to their clients. Another example is our collaboration with Blacklane, through which we provide ALLWAYS Meet & Assist services for First Class passengers, delivering a seamless end-to-end airport journey.”

“As travel continues to evolve, we see significant growth potential.

The focus is increasingly on enhancing the overall journey, providing value not just at the lounge but across the entire airport experience, and ensuring convenience, comfort and a premium experience at every touchpoint.”
