Porter Airlines Expands Winter Routes for 2025-2026 Including a New YVR to PHX

Porter Airlines Expands Winter Routes for 2025-2026 Including a New YVR to PHX

In a sure sign of its maturation, Porter is seeing its pilots and cabin crew members move to unionize.

Porter Airlines is making major moves for winter 2025-2026, boosting capacity to popular sun destinations by up to 25% during peak travel periods and introducing four new routes including an airline first; new transborder service from Vancouver (YVR) with non-stop flights to Phoenix (PHX).

From Ottawa (YOW), Porter is deepening its U.S. connectivity with new routes to two key American Airlines hubs: Phoenix (PHX) and Miami (MIA) – a boost for Canadian snowbirds. The new routes are possible via a codeshare agreement with American Airlines that was announced earlier this week.

For the Caribbean market, Porter is introducing its first-ever route from Montreal (YUL) to Nassau (NAS). Porter announced earlier this summer it was expanding to the Caribbean with flights that include Cancun, Mexico (CUN), Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR), Nassau, The Bahamas (NAS), Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (GCM), and Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR). The airline later announced new flights from Hamilton International Airport (YHM) to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale beginning in December.

The airline says these strategic additions reflect Porter’s continued commitment to expanding its network and providing more choice for Canadian travellers and the travel trade community.

“Our updated winter schedule represents a major expansion of Porter’s network due to the strong response from customers for our new and existing sun markets. We are supporting this demand with new routes and increased frequency on existing popular destinations,” said Kevin Jackson, President, Porter Airlines.

“We are committed to bringing our elevated economy experience to more travellers by connecting key gateways with sun destinations at the time of year when these trips are most valued by Canadians. This growth is about offering more choices, more convenience, and the outstanding service our passengers have come to expect from Porter.”
