The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) is bringing back its Join, Renew, Refer and Certify Program for 2027, giving Canadian travel advisors the chance to win a European expedition cruise for two with Aurora Expeditions, valued at up to $42,000 CAD.
Running until July 31, 2027, the initiative recognizes four ways advisors can strengthen Canada’s travel industry: joining ACTA, renewing their membership, referring a new member or earning a professional certification.
Each qualifying action earns one ballot toward the grand prize.
Eligible membership renewals, including Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) certification renewals, will also count retroactively to September 2026, when ACTA launched its membership renewal campaign.
A European expedition for two
The grand prize includes a complimentary cabin for two aboard an Aurora Expeditions cultural voyage, valued at up to $21,000 CAD per person.
The winner will be able to select from seven eligible departures in 2028, featuring itineraries across Europe.
The promotion comes as ACTA prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027, making the program part of a milestone year for the association.
“Our members are at the heart of everything ACTA does. Every new member, renewal, referral and professional certification strengthens our community and the future of our profession. As we celebrate ACTA’s 50th anniversary, we’re especially pleased to recognize that commitment with an unforgettable opportunity made possible by Aurora Expeditions,” said Suzanne Acton-Gervais, president of ACTA, in a press release.
Aurora Expeditions, meanwhile, is continuing its partnership with ACTA through the initiative, highlighting the role Canadian advisors play in introducing travellers to expedition cruising.
“We’re proud to partner with ACTA in supporting Canadian travel advisors. Their expertise and passion inspire clients to discover expedition cruising and experience some of the world’s most remote and remarkable destinations, and we’re honoured to support a program that celebrates their contribution,” said Beth Mercier, vice president, sales, North America, in a statement.
Winner to be announced at 50th anniversary summit
Building on participation in its previous campaign, ACTA says the 2027 program is designed to encourage professional development, membership engagement and stronger connections among travel advisors across Canada.
The grand prize winner will be revealed on Sept. 9, 2027, during ACTA’s Canadian National Travel Industry Summit at the Toronto Congress Centre.
