Expedition cruise company Lindblad Expeditions is adding a couple of big names to its board as independent directors.

The first is Andy Stuart, the former president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line who spent 31 years at the company before stepping away in 2019. Stuart, who also spent time as chairman of CLIA during his career, most recently served on the Board of Directors of Global Ports Holding in 2020.

“I have long been an admirer of the Lindblad Expeditions brand, so the opportunity to join the Board as the Company continues to grow both cruise capacity and innovative land options is one I am honored and excited to have been offered,” he said.

“I am looking forward to being a part of the journey of a company that brings the most immersive, rewarding, and transformational journeys of discovery to the world’s most remote and sought-after destinations.”

The second is Annette Reavis, the current chief people officer at CrossFit, one of the giants of the fitness world, and former VP of HR at Meta, a position she left in 2020 after a decade with Facebook’s parent company.

“I am honored to join Lindblad’s Board and participate in shaping the future of travel and exploration. This is a true founder-influenced company, and I am excited to preserve its amazing legacy while contributing to the future evolution of bringing joy to countless future travelers,” Reavis said.

Stuart and Reavis will make 11 independent directors on the Lindblad board. Both will bring their unique perspectives as the expedition cruise line continues to grow.

The company is currently gearing up to launch two new expedition ships acquired from the Royal Caribbean Group earlier this year. Both have their inaugural voyages set for early in 2025.
