Virgin Voyages Set to Debut 4th Ship, The Brilliant Lady

Virgin Voyages Set to Debut 4th Ship, The Brilliant Lady

The roundabout onboard the new Brilliant Lady.

Virgin Voyages is gearing up for the debut of its fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, launching in just over a week with a MerMaiden voyage from New York City on September 5.

Designed to capture the essence of her diverse destinations — from New York to Miami to Los Angeles and the untamed beauty of Alaska, every element of the ship has been thoughtfully crafted to foster meaningful connection — between Sailors, the destinations, and the unique onboard experience Virgin Voyages is known for.

Sean Russo, Sales Manager Canada, Virgin Voyages.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our fourth lady ship, Brilliant Lady, into the fleet as she begins operations on September 5th in beautiful New York City,” Sean Russo Sales Manager, Canada, Virgin Voyages, told Travel Market Report Canada.

“Sailors and First Mates stepping onboard will discover exciting new features, from a reimagined Roundabout and a Spanish-inspired dining experience at Rojo, to a fully redesigned Athletic Club offering stunning views—perfect for her upcoming Alaska voyages in 2026. With enhanced entertainment and thoughtful new touches throughout, we can’t wait to showcase our newest lady to the world and give First Mates yet another opportunity to deliver unforgettable Virgin Voyages experiences to their Sailors.”

Here’s more of what’s new and noteworthy onboard:

The Roundabout: Where Stories Begin

The heart of Brilliant Lady glows with warmth and invitation. Deep navy banquettes and jewel-toned seating create intimate conversation clusters, while warm wood accents add that perfectly imperfect touch that makes spaces feel lived-in and loved. The hidden compass now illuminates in soothing blues and purples, a gentle nod to Alaska’s twilight magic.

New at Draught Haus: Beyond craft beer

Brilliant Lady’s Draught Haus has been reimagined as a social anchor at sea, evolving into a warm gathering place that now goes far beyond pints and pours. Still home to a thoughtful craft brew selection, Draught Haus expands with barista-made coffees and a full bar, creating an all-day hub for connection. With cocktails on tap, along with wine and bubbles made for sharing, it’s become a true social anchor. It’s the kind of place where laughter carries, glasses clink, and friendships are brewed as naturally as the drinks themselves.

The Athletic Club: Opening Hearts to Wonder

Here’s where thoughtful design meets pure Alaska magic. Virgin removed an entire wall to create an uninterrupted glass canvas facing the stern, not for drama, but for shared awe. Circular daybeds now face outward so friends can witness glacier calving together, spot whales as a group and watch Northern Lights paint the sky while wrapped in cozy throws.

Cheerful fuchsia accents dance with Virgin’s signature red, while new mesh sail canopies provide gentle shade for golden-hour gatherings. This is where wellness meets wonder, where morning stretches become afternoon conversations and where the world’s most beautiful backdrop encourages Sailors to slow down and soak it all in.

Rojo by Razzle Dazzle: The Art of Lingering

The evolution to Rojo celebrates Spain’s convivial culture and the beautiful tradition of turning meals into conversations and conversations into connections. Terracotta and crimson hues create warmth, while custom line artwork tells stories across the walls.

The dedicated lounge area perfectly captures the Spanish art of lingering: tapas-style sharing plates, intimate seating clusters and that unhurried pace that transforms strangers into storytellers. It’s designed for those magical evenings where dinner becomes an event and new friendships are born.

Sea Terraces: Intimate by Design

When space became precious, Virgin got creative with connection. The reimagined Sea Terrace (Slightly) Smaller Balconies feature two red hammock chairs instead of one – because the best views are meant to be shared – and the most comfortable moments happen when you have someone to share them with.

Alaska Adventures Await

Brilliant Lady’s Alaska itineraries celebrate the joy of discovery with fellow explorers. From Glacier Bay’s quiet moments to Juneau’s vibrant local culture, every port offers new opportunities for connection with nature, with place and with the wonderful people Sailors are experiencing everything alongside.

The Bigger Picture

Brilliant Lady represents Virgin Voyages’ belief that travel should be fundamentally social, joyfully human and thoughtfully designed for the moments that matter most. Every space invites interaction, every detail encourages exploration and every experience celebrates the beautiful unpredictability of bringing curious people together in extraordinary places.
