Antigua and Barbuda Announce Major Investment in Canada’s Francophone Market

Sylvie Madore and Danièle Bouchard are now representing Antigua and Barbuda in Quebec and Ottawa.
The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Board (ABTA) has announced a new office dedicated to Francophone Canadians in Quebec and Ottawa.
ABTA has hired Sylvie Madore and Danièle Bouchard as part of a strategic investment in the Francophone market.
According to Tameka Wharton, Director of Tourism for Canada, Quebec represents a priority market for the destination. This increased presence on the ground aims to raise awareness of Antigua and Barbuda, stimulate travel advisor engagement, and support long-term growth.

“Sylvie and Danièle bring their strong relationships, market knowledge, and credibility within the Quebec travel industry,” Wharton said.
“Their expertise will allow us to strengthen advisor engagement, increase the destination’s visibility, and accelerate growth in a market where we see strong long-term potential,” adds the director.
Here’s a snapshot of the two new representatives of Antigua & Barbuda:
- Sylvie Madore, President and CEO of La Tribu Gourmande, has extensive experience in tourism, having worked as a travel advisor before specializing in sales, marketing, and destination representation for tour operators, airlines, hotels, and tourism offices.
- Danièle Bouchard brings over 30 years of experience in the travel industry. Founder of Tour Vogue, she played a pioneering role in promoting luxury all-inclusive packages in Quebec and in the international representation of hotels and destinations.
