CIE Tours and Luxury Scotland Tours want travelers to pack their bags for Scotland, with both offering brand-new curated tour packages. 

While CIE Tours’ 2024 Scottish Daytripper itinerary has guests returning to a single hotel each day, Luxury Scotland Tours’ new trip includes stays at six hotels, including castle hotels.  

“It’s the quintessential tour of Scotland, seamlessly blending luxurious hotels, archaic history, quaint villages and culinary delights,” said Struan Baird, co-founder of Luxury Scotland Tours. 

Both multi-day trips offer something different, and the availability of both options gives clients the option of having one “homebase” hotel or bopping around the country every day or two.

Here’s a closer look at these two new Scotland trip offerings.

CIE Tours’ 2024 Scottish Daytripper
With departures beginning in March 2024, CIE Tours will send travelers on a series of daytrips in Scotland as part of its new Scottish Daytripper package.  

The six-day trip begins in Glasgow at the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel, where guests will stay for all five nights. The group will get settled in and familiarize themselves with the city, including a whiskey walking tour with visits to two pubs.

The package includes day trips to Stirling Castle, the Isle of Arran, and Edinburgh Castle, home to the Scottish Crown Jewels; as well as a scenic cruise around Loch Lomond. Travelers will ride to each of the tourist sites on a luxury coach bus.

Guests who book the new tour by August 31 will get an early bird discount of $200 off. The price of the package includes eight meals, admission to each of the sites, motorcoach transportation, and services of a local tour guide.

Luxury Scotland Tours’ the Ultimate Lux Tour
For a grand tour of the country’s finest hotels, castles, and attractions, Luxury Scotland Tours has introduced a 10-day itinerary that allows travelers to see it all.

Guests will stay at six different five-star hotels over nine nights and travel via private chauffeur to each new village or city.

Travelers will see the areas of South Ayrshire, Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Glencoe, Fort William, Auchterarder, and Edinburgh on the trip. They’ll go on several nature walking tours, as well as a sea excursion to Ailsa Craig Island, where they’ll see hidden caves and plenty of marine wildlife.

Another experience worked into the itinerary is a mountain gondola ride up the Aonach Mor summit, which offers breathtaking views of the Scottish Highlands. There will also be a private cooking lesson at a high-end restaurant and visits to the Dalwhinnie Distillery and Glenturret Distillery.

Along the way there will be stays at Culzean Castle, Glenapp Castle, and Inverlochy Castle, as well as dining at Michelin-starred restaurants.
