The Travel Agent’s Travel Agent: Goway Hosts Its 2026 Asia Forum

The Travel Agent’s Travel Agent: Goway Hosts Its 2026 Asia Forum

Sponsors and presenterts at Goway’s Asia Forum.

Goway organizes travel to roughly 115 countries around the world. With such a vast portfolio, sharing destination expertise with travel advisors is no small task—but it’s one the company sees as essential.

Building on the success of previous forums, including the Africa Forum in 2025, Goway recently hosted an educational deep dive into Asia.

Where Goway goes in Asia.

To reach as many advisors as possible, the event was offered in multiple formats, with live gatherings in San Francisco and Toronto, as well as a virtual option for those unable to attend in person.

The forum was impressively organized, especially considering it featured representatives from 25 destinations.

Presenters included tourism boards from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand, along with hotel, lodge, and airline partners. Many of the sessions were led by Destination Management Companies (DMCs), whose representatives travelled from across Asia to showcase the tours, experiences, and accommodations available to Canadian travellers.

The presentations highlighted the remarkable diversity of the Asian region’s cultures, landscapes, and wildlife. Attendees learned about everything from Cambodia’s trained mine-detecting giant rats, to Indonesia’s beaches and Komodo dragons, to immersive geisha experiences in Japan.

Accommodations at Thailand’s Elephant Hills luxury tented camp.

One presentation that generated more than a few appreciative “ahs” featured Thailand’s Elephant Hills luxury tented camp, where guests can enjoy ethical elephant encounters, stay in floating tent accommodations, and explore the rainforest by canoe.

Destination presentations were interspersed with panel discussions featuring Goway local experts, who shared personal favourites and answered questions on topics such as the best times to visit and ideal itinerary planning.

The day concluded with a networking reception, mini trade show, and prize giveaways at Toronto’s Chelsea Hotel.

Goway is a Canadian success story developed over 55+ years. Family-owned, 100% Canadian, and proudly branded as “The Travel Agent’s Travel Agent,” the company left attendees with a very positive impression.

Beyond the destination knowledge shared throughout the day, advisors also gained insight into Goway’s group travel capabilities and the ease of working with the company—making for an informative and worthwhile event overall.
