“Understanding Guided Touring:” Collette Series Aims to Help You Sell

“Understanding Guided Touring:” Collette Series Aims to Help You Sell

Collette has released the on‑demand version of the first episode of a new four‑part selling series created to help travel advisors elevate their guided travel expertise and strengthen their sales approach.

The guided tour operator with more than 100 years of experience says it developed the series of virtual presentations directly in response to advisor feedback. It covers the full selling cycle and introduces practical techniques that advisors can apply right away.

The first installment, “Understanding Guided Touring: Setting the Scene for Sales Success,” breaks down what guided travel truly means for Collette travellers and addresses persistent misconceptions while equipping advisors with a set of actionable questions to better match advisor clients with the right experiences.

The company says early feedback from the advisor community has been positive with one member of the network commenting. One member of the Collette Travel Agent Network commented: “Talking through ways to overcome any guided travel objections and responses were excellent,” said Jude R. “I’m looking forward to the complete session and experiencing my first Collette tour after completing Collette University.”

“We created this series because advisors asked for clear, practical selling strategies that reflect the realities of today’s guided travel market,” said Diana Ditto, VP of Product Marketing and Growth Strategy.

“The first segment sets the stage by helping advisors reframe guided touring in a way that resonates with travellers’ needs today—and we’re thrilled to see how enthusiastically it’s already being received.”

With Session 1 now available to watch on demand, advisors are encouraged to catch up ahead of the upcoming live events. Advisors interested in registering for the next virtual event on February 26th  can do so here.  Those who register will be able to access an on-demand version of the virtual event if they are unable to attend.

Collette offers  tools for advisors available online in the Travel Advisor Portal, including previously on-demand virtual events targeted to help with selling.
