G Adventures Thanks Advisors with Commission Boost after Record January

by Bruce Parkinson  February 07, 2025
G Adventures Thanks Advisors with Commission Boost after Record January

David Green, managing director for Canada, G Adventures.

Happy New Year! G Adventures is celebrating the smashing of its January targets, with a massive 54% increase in agency sales in Canada versus January 2024. To celebrate, the adventure travel pioneer is thanking its advisor partners in Canada with up to 3% additional commission through the month of February.

“January is our most important sales month, and our travel agent partners have knocked it out of the park, working round the clock to help connect their customers with the trip of a lifetime,” said David Green, managing director in Canada.

“We’ve just seen the highest January sales in G Adventures’ history in Canada. Our agents have played a huge part in helping us to achieve this. I’d also like to say a huge thanks to our Canadian sales team, who continue to do an outstanding job in supporting our agency community with passion, purpose and happiness. ”

A four-month ‘G Normous’ incentive launched in January, with monthly prizes with a total value of $40,000 up for grabs. “To thank agents for all their hard work over the peak period, we’ve launched an additional G Normous incentive, offering them the opportunity to earn increased commission on every adventure booked through February,” Green continued.

The new incentive will enable advisors to earn an additional 2% on any G Adventures trip, or an additional 3% on the new Geluxe trips, when booked before February 28.

Green says recent Canadian growth has been phenomenal.

“In 2024, we saw record growth every single month in Canada, making it our fastest growing market, and January has only highlighted further that there is real demand for adventure and community based travel, as travellers continue to seek more immersive ways to explore the world.

The growth stretches across G’s product line, with Active, National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures and Classic travel styles all seeing over 20% growth year on year. Green says the new Geluxe trips, which offer active experiences combined with luxury accommodations and meals, “has performed better than we could have imagined, and now sits among our top five booked travel styles for January.”

Green just returned from his first Geluxe trip, Egypt: Pyramids, Temples & The Nile.

G Adventures’ David Green just returned from his first Geluxe trip to Egypt.

“I was blown away by the whole experience. For me, there’s nothing like it on the market and it really highlighted the benefit of travelling in a small-group, with an experienced and local guide,” Green said.

G Adventures launched over 200 new trips for 2025 — the biggest product launch in its history.

“With all our new trips and travel styles, we’re working with our agents to keep them up to date with everything new. There is high demand for community based travel, with Canadians seeking new and alternative experiences. When they book through G Adventures, they aren’t just supporting community tourism in the destination their customer visits, they are supporting a Canadian business, founded here in Canada 35 years ago, with our best years ahead of us, thanks to our travel agent community,” said Green.

To access the increased commission incentive, advisors simply need to add the promo code GNORMOUS into Sherpa when booking. Full details can be found here. All bookings also count towards the ChangeMakers incentive running until  May 31, with top selling agents winning places for the GX Summit in Jordan.
