Sunwing Expands Cuba with Addition of Playa Punta Hicacos

Sunwing Vacations is expanding its lineup of Cuban getaways with the addition of Playa Punta Hicacos in Varadero.

Originally built in 2005 and refreshed in 2010, Playa Punta Hicacos sits among lush gardens and overlooks the sparkling Caribbean. Guests can expect a lively, all-ages atmosphere with a wide range of amenities, including:

  • A pristine beachfront with complimentary non-motorized water sports
  • Multiple pools, including an adults-only pool, kids’ pools with waterslides, and a shaded swim-up bar
  • A Baby Club for children 4–12, featuring supervised games, crafts, and activities
  • Diverse dining from international restaurants to a Beer Garden, ice cream parlour, and café with authentic Cuban coffee
