2025 AAVQ Gala: a first successful collaboration with TMR Quebec
by Catherine Maisonneuve
The Uni-Vers Gala is the annual event of the AAVQ (Association of Travel Agents of Quebec) not to be missed. Every year, nearly 300 industry professionals gather to take part in this wonderful evening of recognition. This year, to celebrate the arrival of TMR Québec in the industry, our publication was proud to sponsor the dinner at this important event.
The Gala, now in its 11th edition, highlights the work of professionals in the travel industry each year. During the evening, numerous awards were presented to recognize the excellence of travel advisors, tour operators, representatives, cruise lines, hotel chains, airlines, and many more.

“I’ve been doing business in Quebec for decades, and I know just how unique and important the Quebec market is within Canada’s travel industry. I’ve never overlooked it, and that’s why I wanted TMR Québec—our platform 100% dedicated to the Quebec market—to show its support at the AAVQ Gala, especially since this marks TMR Canada’s first year in the market!
We’re here to stay, and our position is clear: we’re going to invest in the travel industry in Canada, but also in Quebec, which we treat as two distinct entities,” explains John Kirk.
