A Delta Airlines plane crashed on landing Monday afternoon at Toronto Pearson International Airport, injuring at least 8.
The regional jet was arriving from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) and ended upside down on its roof. There are also reports of a fire.
“Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for,” a post from Pearson International Airport reads on X.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of the injuries, though CTV News is reporting that one child and two adults are critically injured. CTV News also reported that Staff at the airport told them they have shut down all arrivals and departures at this time. While the airport did not immediately confirm that, Pearson’s website lists multiple delays impacting arrivals and departures.
There is no speculation on cause yet.
