Rain Doesn’t Dampen Generosity at TravelBrands’ 10th Annual Charity Golf Classic
by John KirkTravelBrands’ 10th Annual Charity Golf Classic raised $620,887 for the SickKids Foundation yesterday, taking the total donation to over $3 million in 10 years.

Heavy rain fell on the Eagles Nest Golf Course in Vaughan, north of Toronto, but that didn’t dampen the spirits or generosity of the Canadian travel industry, which dug deep for a great cause.
Since its inception, the tournament has brought together industry partners, colleagues, and friends with one shared goal: to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families supported by SickKids.

This year, TravelBrands had the support of the FDC Foundation, which generously matched every dollar raised. The FDC Foundation is a private, family-based foundation from Mississauga, established by Carlo Fidani in 2000 to improve healthcare and education through strategic investments and charitable giving.

“This is more than a golf tournament – it’s a community coming together to make a real difference,” said Nathalie Tanious, President & CEO of H.I.S. Canada Travel Inc., parent company of TravelBrands.

“We are deeply grateful to the partners who have been with us from the very beginning, as well as the new supporters who have joined along the way. Their generosity and commitment have made the past decade possible, and we’re excited to see how much more we can accomplish together in support of SickKids Foundation.”
