Save the Date: The Canadian Travel Awards Return This November
by Marsha Mowers
Tonight’s the night: The inaugural Canadian Travel Awards will kick off at 7 pm EST at Hotel X Toronto.
Mark your calendars … the hottest event in the industry returns November 19, 2026 with our Canadian Travel Awards, bringing together top suppliers, travel advisors, and industry leaders from across the country for an evening dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement.
Now firmly established as a cornerstone event on the Canadian travel calendar, The Canadian Travel Awards honour the suppliers, destinations, and individuals who are shaping the future of travel through innovation, leadership, and exceptional service. The annual event celebrates standout performers across a wide range of categories, including airlines, tour operators, tourist boards, hotels, destinations, cruise lines, advisors and more.
Last year’s event saw over 300 of Canadian travel’s best and brightest in one room with a special musical performance featuring Canadian favourite Jim Cuddy and spellbinding electric violinist Anne Lindsay. Cuddy, a founding member of beloved band Blue Rodeo, signed an acoustic guitar which was auctioned off live for $3,700 by our very own John Kirk, with all proceeds going to hurricane Melissa relief in Jamaica.
Close to 40 awards were handed out by the publication proudly billed as the “Voice of the Travel Advisor,” with winners selected exclusively through online voting by close to four thousand travel advisors from coast to coast.

“Each year, The Canadian Travel Awards give us the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the very best of our industry,” said John Kirk, Editor in Chief, Travel Market Report Canada. “From trusted partners to trailblazing professionals, these awards recognize the people and organizations that continue to elevate travel for Canadians.”
While the venue for the 2026 gala has yet to be announced, planning is already underway. Further details—including venue information, nomination timelines, and category announcements—will be released in the coming months. For now, industry professionals are encouraged to save the date: November 19, 2026.
