Virtuoso has announced industry veteran Alyssa Bushey has been appointed Senior Vice-President, Global Marketing.
In this role, Bushey will support Virtuoso’s member agencies, its network of more than 20,000 travel advisors, and its portfolio of over 2,500 of the world’s top travel brands. Her oversight will include product marketing, content strategy, CRM analytics and performance, paid media, and the continued global expansion of the Virtuoso brand.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alyssa to Virtuoso,” said Chief Operating Officer Brad Bourland. “She brings an incredible depth of experience and creativity that will build on the tremendous work Helen and her team have accomplished over the last five years. We’re excited to see where Alyssa’s leadership will take the division as we continue to elevate Virtuoso’s global marketing product and brand presence.”
Bushey will also oversee Virtuoso’s award-winning editorial division, including Virtuoso, The Magazine, now distributed in six countries. She succeeds Helen McCabe-Young, who served in the role for five years before being appointed Senior Vice President, Global Products, earlier this year.
A seasoned leader with deep experience across luxury travel and hospitality, Bushey most recently served as Founder and CEO of Edison 360, a global marketing and innovation consultancy whose clients included Forbes Travel Guide, Hyatt Residential, and Travel + Leisure Co.
Her previous roles include Chief Marketing Officer for Margaritaville Resort Orlando, where she led the launch of the $800 million, 300-acre mixed-use resort, as well as senior marketing and communications positions with Baha Mar, Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, and Montage International, where she was instrumental in developing the Pendry Hotels brand.
