Transat Distribution Canada Celebrates Top Performers on Algarve Ovation Trip

TDC Ovation Trip participants.

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) recently hosted 50 of its top-performing advisors from Transat Travel/Voyages Transat agencies, as well as from its franchised and affiliated agencies across Canada, on the Ovation Trip: a seven-night stay in the coastal region of the Algarve, Portugal.

The group stayed at the brand-new Tivoli Alvor Algarve All-Inclusive Resort as part of this incentive trip, offered in collaboration with two of TDC’s key partners, 5Continents and Transat.

“The Ovation Trip is a celebration of our advisors’ outstanding commitment to their clients and, above all, the ultimate reward for recognizing exceptional sales performance throughout the year—particularly for Transat products, a partner with which TDC maintains a close and longstanding relationship,” said TDC General Manager Karine Gagnon.

“In a demanding industry, the professionalism, resilience and passion of our advisors make all the difference. This trip is our way of saying well done, thank you, and of highlighting how proud we are to have them as part of the TDC family.”

The TDC Ovation group explored the beauty of Portugal’s Algarve.

A Memorable Trip

Award recipients arrived in Faro aboard Air Transat and were immediately invited to enjoy the resort at their leisure. Several optional excursions were offered, including a memorable day exploring the eastern Algarve and its salt marshes, with stops in iconic fishing villages as well as a visit to the town of Tavira, its Arab fortress and Roman bridge. A panoramic hike along the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail and a cruise to visit the famous Benagil caves were also part of the program.

Recognition Evening

TDC says the highlight of the week was a gala evening dedicated to recognizing the exceptional contributions of these outstanding individuals.

The event provided an opportunity for Gagnon and Anthony Mormina, senior director sales and operations, to congratulate the deserving advisors for their exceptional efforts throughout the year.

“Our industry is not always easy. Changes in plans and unforeseen events affecting travel are common in our field. But if you are here today, it is because, day after day, you have demonstrated tremendous resilience and unwavering commitment to your clients despite all these challenges,” said Mormina.

“In short, you manage—such a simple word, yet one with immense meaning. And for that, you have our deepest admiration.”

This trip allows TDC to recognize advisors employed within its Transat Travel/Voyages Transat agencies. In addition, TDC offers its franchised and affiliated members the opportunity to reward their top-performing employees through a dedicated allotment of spots.

Impressions from Two Participants

“The Ovation trip was incredible—truly one of the most memorable weeks! We packed in so many fun and unforgettable activities and had the chance to spend quality time with colleagues we don’t often get to see,” said Erin from Transat Travel.

“The highlight was, without a doubt, experiencing the beauty of Portugal—everywhere we looked was stunning, and the food was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable trip.”

Lisa from Marlin Travel had this to say: “I always feel so fortunate when I am chosen to take part in award trips like Ovation, and I could go on and on naming so many highlights from this trip to Portugal. But to keep it short, the Algarve in Portugal is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect choice for our Ovation trip this year. For me, being able to laugh, relax and explore with my colleagues on this recognition trip made it a very special and unforgettable experience.”
