Riviera Travel (formerly Riviera River Cruises) is expanding its offering of Grand Tours, which seamlessly combine Riviera’s river cruises with its land tours, with three new itineraries for 2026. In tandem with this launch, clients can save up to 40% off on these Grand Tours if booked by May 31, 2025.

“For more than 40 years, Riviera Travel has crafted unforgettable journeys both on land and on the rivers, connecting travelers with the heart and soul of every destination,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel. “Riviera’s new Grand Tours represent the pinnacle of that expertise – offering American travelers the opportunity to dive deeper, discover more, and experience Europe beyond the rivers…”

Each Grand Tour includes a one-week river cruise, plus an additional week of exploration complete with accommodations, excursions led by local guides and tour managers, and transfers between hotel and ship via plane, bus, or train.

The three new Grand Tours, exclusively available to U.S. travelers in 2026 are:

Grand Tour of the Heart of Italy to Portugal’s Douro Valley

With four departures in 2026, this 14-night itinerary begins with seven nights in Perugia, Umbria in Italy where guests will enjoy guided tours of Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia, winery and olive mill tastings, the Frasassi Caves, a scenic cruise on Lake Trasimeno, and a traditional lunch at a local agriturismo farmhouse. Following this, guests will fly to Porto to board the MS Douro Elegance for a one-week Douro, Porto, and Salamanca river cruise.

Grand Tour of Italian Lakes, Swiss Mountains, and Majestic River Rhine Cruise

This 14-night itinerary is available five times in 2026. It starts with seven nights in Baveno, Maggiore where guests will enjoy a tour of the palace on Isola Bella, as well as explore Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, and Lake Orta. After seven nights, guests travel by bus to Basel to board one of three ships for a Rhine Cruise to Switzerland.

Grand Tour of Provence, Paris & River Seine Cruise

This 14-night itinerary, available five times in 2026, starts with seven nights in Aix-en-Provence, with guided walking tours, a vineyard tour and tasting, and visits to both medieval Avignon and the Luberon mountains. After the land portion of the tour, guests will travel by train to Paris to board the MS Jane Austen for a Seine, Paris, and Normandy river cruise.
