Aurora Expeditions has unveiled its 2028/29 Antarctic season, featuring 37 voyages, four all-new itineraries, and seven Special Edition voyages.
Spanning Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falklands-Malvinas, and Patagonia, the season features expeditions ranging from eight to 23 days aboard Aurora’s three purpose-built small ships, Greg Mortimer, Sylvia Earle and Douglas Mawson.
“Antarctica remains at the heart of Aurora Expeditions, and this season is about creating even more meaningful ways for travelers to experience it,” said Justin Ewin, Aurora Expeditions’ global head of product. “From exploring alongside the people behind landmark wildlife and conservation documentaries to discovering South Georgia through immersive activities, these new voyages bring fresh perspectives to destinations we’ve explored for more than 35 years. Our new Buenos Aires gateway also makes the journey simpler, with key flights and transfers arranged as part of the experience.”
For all departures aboard Greg Mortimer, a new Buenos Aires round-trip gateway includes pre-voyage accommodation, charter flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, and transfers, bringing key travel arrangements together in one itinerary.
For those with limited time, the 2028/29 season also offers greater flexibility, with 10 fly/sail voyages and 16 departures of 11 days or less.
Among the new itineraries are the one-time “Antarctica: Behind The Lens,” a documentary-themed expedition (departing Jan. 17, 2029) with renowned wildlife and conservation storytellers, as well as a 21-day, one-sailing-only activity-inclusive journey combining South Georgia and Antarctica (departing Oct. 31, 2028) and a 17-day dedicated exploration of South Georgia and the Falkland Islands (departing Feb. 17, 2029).
Clients who book at 2028/29 Antarctica voyage by Jan. 31, 2027, can save up to 25% on select voyages.
