Century Cruises, which operates river cruises on the Yangtze River in China, has appointed David Fredericks as senior vice president of sales and marketing, effective Dec. 1, 2024.

Fredericks’ appointment comes as the company expands its presence in the North American market. He will be responsible for growing Century Cruises’ revenue in North America through strategic travel partner relationships.

Fredericks brings more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry to the role, having grown multiple distribution channels for Carnival Corp., Viking Cruises, Online Vacation Center, Luxury Cruise Connections, Crystal Cruises, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and, most recently, at Oasis Travel Network-Smartcruiser.com.

“I am extremely excited about the trust that has been placed in my hands by this esteemed team,” Fredericks said. “I am looking forward to connecting with all travel partners, corporate meeting planners, consortia partners, and host agencies, continuing the cultivation of all relationships built in the past and creating momentum for the future.”
