Dario Rustico to Depart Costa Cruises

Costa Cruises’ director of the Americas Dario Rustico is departing Costa Cruises after more than two decades with the cruise line and will be replaced by Jorge Serrano Martín de Vidales.

Rustico will depart Costa, effective Sept. 14, 2026, but Martín de Vidales will not officially start until January 2027. In the interim the Americas team will report directly to Luigi Stefanelli, worldwide sales vice president.

Rustico, who has been with Costa since 2002, is leaving to “pursue personal goals outside the company…”

“Dario has made an extraordinary contribution to the development of our global business,” Stefanelli said. “His entrepreneurial spirit, determination, and leadership have left a lasting legacy across our entire organization. We thank him sincerely for his commitment and achievements and wish him every success in the next chapter of his personal and professional journey.”

In his new role, Martín de Vidales will report to Stefanelli and will lead Costa’s commercial strategy and business development across the Americas region. He is currently leading trade sales for Costa in Spain and Portugal.
