Beginning in summer 2027, Costa Cruises is redefining how it designs itineraries, moving away from simply a series of ports to itineraries “built around a distinct identity.”
An evolution of the line’s Sea & Land Wonder Platform, first introduced in 2027, that brings together sea and land destinations into a singe vision, the new itineraries are designed as wholistic journeys.
“When we launched the Sea & Land Wonder Platform, our goal was clear: to place wonder at the heart of every moment of the journey, at sea and on land,” said Francesco Muglia, chief commercial officer & senior vice president of Costa Cruises.
“Results have confirmed that guests are increasingly seeking authentic experiences that leave a lasting impression. With the new itinerary concepts, launching in Summer 2027, we take a step further: each itinerary is inspired by a clear vision and develops as a coherent journey made of iconic places and defining moments… It’s a paradigm shift that redefines how cruises are created and chosen, strengthening Costa’s innovative role in the sector.”
Starting summer 2027, each itinerary that Costa offers will carry its own identity, named and built around iconic locations and unique Sea Destinations. Featured itineraries include “Dolce Vita” aboard Costa Fascinosa, sailing from Taormina, Sicily, to Stromboli Bay. “Golden Islands,” also on Costa Fascinosa, sails from Palma de Mallorca, Spain, to the crystal waters of Formentera Bay, then to the natural park of Tavolara for an exclusive sunset swim, and finally, Aranci Gulf, where the sun sets behind Sardinia’s coastline to the sound of DJ sets, saxophone, and percussion.
In the Eastern Mediterranean, “Blue Islands” aboard Costa Serena moves through Greece’s most storied landscapes — from Mykonos to the Acropolis seen from the sea in Athens, the hidden bays of Cefalonia, and Cape Sounion, where the Temple of Poseidon overlooks the Aegean.
The portfolio is further enriched by a collection of concepts that each interpret the Mediterranean and Northern Europe through a distinct lens. “Lights of the Mediterranean” follows the finest light across the Western Mediterranean, while “Sea of Lights” traces a route of contrasts between Greece and Turkey.
In Northern Europe, “Nordic Souls” extends this philosophy among fjords, coastal villages and Scandinavian elegance, from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Geirangerfjord, Bergen and Stavanger, Norway.
Among the most anticipated highlights of summer 2027 is the return of the Solar Eclipse Cruise. Following the success of the sold-out 2026 edition, Costa Fascinosa will host a new total solar eclipse experience at sea departing on Aug. 2, 2027.
