Grand Turk Sets Date for Cruise Ship Return
by Daniel McCarthy /Carnival Cruise Line will return to Grand Turk with Ecstasy on Wednesday, Nov. 1, the first cruise ship to return to the island since hurricanes Irma and Maria.
Officials originally expected the port to be open sometime in October, but that estimate was pushed back after damage was assessed.
After the storms hit, Carnival issued new itineraries for ships that were scheduled to stop at Grand Turk including Magic, Conquest, and Glory. Those ships called at Amber Cove instead.
Ecstasy will sail an itinerary out of Charleston, S.C., on Oct. 29 that will head to Grand Turk after a day at sea and a call at Half Moon Cay.
