Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings revealed in its third-quarter earnings release that delivery of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Prestige has been delayed until late December 2026.
The delay was mentioned in reference to the impact on NCLH’s fourth-quarter financial performance.
Prestige was originally scheduled to start sailing on Dec. 13, 2026. It will be the first new ship in a new class for RSSC, the first new class of ship for the line in 10 years.
According to a post on Cruise Critic, guests onboard the Dec. 13 sailing were notified in late September that their sailing was canceled. They were offered “some compensation plus all money for cruise itself.”
“Following a thorough review of the construction schedule for Seven Seas Prestige, we have made the decision to allow additional time for final work to ensure the ship is introduced to the world at the exceptional standard our guests deserve,” Regent Seven Seas wrote in the letter sent to guests informing them the sailing was canceled.
The ship’s first sailing will now depart Dec. 28, 2026.
