Riviera River Cruises to Protect Advisor Commissions on Late Cancellations

Starting immediately, Riviera River Cruises will pay commission to travel advisors on all bookings that are canceled within 15 days of departure.

“With this change, travel advisors will no longer lose their commission when a client cancels in the days before their cruise starts,” said Marilyn Conroy, executive vice president of sales and marketing, North America, for Riviera River Cruises. “From not selling directly to advisors’ clients to a partnership that assists with flight and hotel arrangements, and incentives like bonus commission and gift cards, it’s another way we at Riviera are dedicated to the agency community.”

Under the new policy, clients who cancel a cruise within 15 days of departure will still lose 100% of their booking cost.

Additionally, through September, Riviera is offering a promotion on remaining 2024 and 2025 departures, offering a $100 gift card for advisors for every cabin booked and 100 euros in onboard credit for each client booked.
