Sea Cloud has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of William “Bill” Smith as Brand Ambassador for North America.

A respected figure in the industry, Smith brings to the role a lifetime of experience supporting and building the travel trade. His career spans leadership roles with Crystal Cruises, Silversea Cruises, and Virtuoso, where he played a pivotal role in developing trade and marketing strategies that helped shape the modern luxury cruise sector. Smith was inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame in 2016.

In this newly created role, Smith will collaborate with Mirell Reyes, CEO of Sea Cloud Cruises North America, and Kevin Smith, chief sales officer, to strengthen brand visibility and engagement among North American travelers and travel advisors.

Smith’s appointment marks a key step in Sea Cloud Cruises’ efforts to deepen its presence in North America’s growing luxury cruise market. He will represent the boutique sailing line at industry events, press trips, and roadshows, co-host webinars, and spearhead new loyalty and top advisor programs.

“Bill Smith’s vast experience, industry respect, and innovative spirit make him an invaluable advisor and  addition to our leadership circle,” said Reyes. “He brings not only expertise, but also a driving passion for authentic luxury travel, which aligns with our brand. I am excited to welcome Bill to our team having him work alongside with his son, Kevin Smith, as we continue to build meaningful connections for our guests and travel advisors increasing brand awareness.”
