Tauck Debuts Redesigned Ships with Larger Cabins
by Daniel McCarthy /River cruise company, Tauck, is set to relaunch their vessels ms Treasures and ms Esprit, after they underwent “down-to-the-studs” renovations.
Both ships will now sail with larger cabins and more spacious public areas, and completely redesigned Ruby Decks — which had its thirty 150-square-foot cabins transformed into twenty 225-square-foot cabins. Both also had their total cabin number reduced from 59 to 49, also dropping the total passenger capacity from 118 to 98 per vessel.
Each vessel will have an upgraded second dining venue, formerly The Bistro and now called Arthur’s, with an expanded menu.
The ships will now sail itineraries on the Rhine, Main, and Danube, including Tauck’s “Amsterdam to Budapest by Riverboat” sailings.
“We believe that we have the finest, most elegant riverboats on Europe’s rivers. Yet with that being said, we continue to maintain that what truly distinguishes Tauck river cruises is our 93 years of destination expertise, and our unmatched ability to tell the cultural and historical stories of the places we visit,” Tauck CEO Dan Mahar said.
With the ms Treasures and ms Esprit renovations, all four of Tauck’s 110-meter ships have successfully undergone similar transformations, as ms Sapphire and ms Emerald were both renovated a year ago.
