Thomas Mazloum Leaves Crystal Cruise Line

by Daniel McCarthy  April 21, 2017

Thomas Mazloum, chief operating office at Crystal Cruise Line, is leaving the company for another opportunity within the cruise industry.

Crystal CEO Edie Rodriguez made the announcement in a press release yesterday.

Mazloum spent two stints with Crystal—one starting in 1990 and another starting in 2002. In between, he spent three years with the Walt Disney Company, serving as hotel director for Disney Cruise Line and general manager of food, beverage and special events for Walt Disney World’s Epcot.

He was a part of the team that saw Crystal go from a single cruise line to a luxury cruise colossus. The company is in the middle of an expansion that will see it extend its reach from oceans to the rivers and air.

In his place, Toni Neumeister has been promoted to senior vice president of hotel operations. Neumeister has been with Crystal since 1995, starting out as vice president of the company’s food and beverage operations. In his new role, Neumeister will be responsible for Crystal’s hotel, culinary, entertainment and land programs.

Crystal also reshuffled its vessel operations, which will now be headed by Gustaf Gronber, senior vice president of Marine Operations at Genting Cruise Lines. The company’s casino operations have been transferred to Resorts World at Sea.
