Europe Continues to Be Hot Trend for 2025: Globus family of brands

Europe, particularly Italy, continues to be a favourite for travellers in 2025.

Europe, particularly Italy, is poised to continue to be a hot destination for Canadian travellers in 2025, according to recent data from Globus family of brands.

The tour operator is reporting strong growth in its tours over 2024 in four European countries: France up 20%, Alpine countries (Switzerland, Germany & Austria) up 20%, Portugal up 10%, and Ireland up 5%.

Italy, however, continues to remain at the top of destination lists worldwide this year, largely due to the Jubilee, a Catholic event which happens once every 25 years. The Jubilee began Christmas Eve 2024 and continues through January 2026.

“With 33 tours and over 400 departures across Italy, Globus gives advisors an effortless way to deliver the best of the country – from exclusive access to carefully selected stays and stress-free transportation,” Denise Harper, managing director, Canada sales for the Globus family of brands said in a statement.

“Italy’s Jubilee Year offers Canadian travel advisors an incredible chance to connect clients with a once-in-a-lifetime celebration – partnering with a tour expert that truly understands Italy from top to toe.”

Last week, Globus revealed the results of their survey that found families are travelling together more than ever, making multigenerational travel one of the biggest trends in 2025.

Globus also reports that 75% of travellers are seeking to explore a destination in shoulder-season versus typical summer getaways.  The tour operator has also introduced a new $500 air credit offer for select Globus Tours.
