The Top Halloween Parties and Experiences in Las Vegas

It always seems to be Halloween in Las Vegas — somewhere. While one can easily feel stuck in an escape room plot while immersing in many of the wild and wacky restaurants and attractions hiding behind the Strip’s eye-popping frontage, the Halloween holiday at the end of October gives Las Vegas visitors seeking chills and thrills a run for their money.

Something evil this way comes as the city of neon goes all out in beyond-the-Cirque costumes, devilishly daunting parties, monster balls, haunted attractions, and ghoulish grubs. For 2024, the sinister revelry will be no less spooktacular than in previous years. But as Las Vegas grows so do the shows as more and more macabre and twisted mayhem creeps into the Halloween menu. Here’s a peek … but don’t look too long:

Fear Factors

For those seeking an adrenaline rush, here are some of the most hair-raising haunts to consider:

Escape Blair Witch

Brave souls can test their mettle at the Escape Blair Witch experience. This spine-chilling escape room challenges participants to unravel the mystery of missing college students in the dark Black Hills Forest. With multiple rooms and a terrifyingly talented cast, the suspense builds with every step. Whether you opt for a shared experience or the exclusive VIP adventure, be prepared for a heart-pounding journey. Not for the faint of heart, this thrilling escapade is recommended for ages 16 and up.

  • Location: The Escape Game Las Vegas

The Basement

For those who crave extreme experiences, The Basement offers live escape rooms with horror-themed adventures. Using cutting-edge technology and your own wit, you’ll face the challenge of escaping from a demented captor’s family home. The brave can even attempt both challenges back-to-back, either in the dead of night or during a macabre brunch service.

  • Face two extreme challenges while escaping from a demented captor’s home
  • Features: Live actors, intense scenarios, and psychological thrills
  • Location: Downtown Las Vegas
  • Duration: 45 minutes per room
  • Difficulty: Expert

Haunted Houses and Horror Shows

Freakling Bros Horror Shows

Freakling Bros Horror Shows is Nevada’s only R-rated haunted house. This year’s unsettling theme, “Death in the Desert,” promises to push the boundaries of fear. With attractions like “Coven 13” and “Castle Vampyre,” along with a food truck on-site, it’s a full evening of terror. Be warned: this experience is age-restricted and requires a waiver for entry.

Zombie Burlesque

For a more lighthearted yet still spooky experience, Zombie Burlesque at the V Theater inside Miracle Mile Shops offers a wickedly entertaining night. This ghoulish performance combines variety acts, hilarious comedy, and an electrifying “big band” for a show that will raise your spirits.

  • Location: V Theater at Planet Hollywood
  • Features: Comedy, dance, and zombie-themed performance
  • Duration: 75 minutes
  • Age Restriction: 16+
