Universal Orlando Resort has revealed details about Dark Universe, part of Epic Universe, opening in 2025.

The mystical, monster-full land will be one of five worlds that comprise the brand-new theme park. It draws inspiration from classic monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Wolf Man, and more for its exciting attractions.

“Every inch of Dark Universe tells a story,” said Peter Carsillo, senior creative director for Universal Creative. “You can believe that monsters are real, and it’s all happening right here.”

Dark Universe will be suitable both for families with children and for horror-loving thrill-seekers. Curse of the Werewolf is the more family-friendly roller coaster, while Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment is a ride that pulls out all the stops for an immersive, thrilling experience.

There will also be three highly themed restaurants, a themed merchandise store, and the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, where guests of all ages can get a monster-like transformation. Guests can experience meet-and-greets with the characters, as well.

Universal Epic Universe will also include SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and Celestial Park.
