Air Canada Waives Change Fees Due to Storm
Air Canada is waiving change fees today for flights to and from Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa due a snow storm that began Monday. The airline’s website flagged flights up until Dec. 31, warning they may be delayed or cancelled, but it’s unclear if fees will be waived for the entire period.
“Air Canada has revised its ticketing policy for customers booked on affected flights to facilitate changes to bookings. Those customers wishing to make alternate travel arrangements can do so without penalty,” the website said.
Environment Canada predicts snowfall amounts of 20 to 35 centimeters—up to 13 inches—by Wednesday in Montreal, and urged travelers to adjust plans and expect significant impacts.
