When it opens during the fourth quarter of this year, Andaz Lisbon will become the Andaz brand’s first property in Portugal.

Located on Rua de Comércio, just steps away from Lisbon’s most well-known landmarks, Andaz Lisbon will feature 170 guestrooms and suites, ranging from 236 square feet to 1,065 square feet. Room views include São Jorge Castle, Praça do Comércio, and the Tagus River.

A rooftop restaurant and terrace will serve modern Lusitanian cuisine inspired by Portugal’s heritage, along with live music, DJ sets, and crafted cocktails. The Andaz Lounge, a “social hub” inspired by Lisbon’s popular food kiosks, will offer Portuguese street food, artisan coffee, and handcrafted local beers and spirits.

Overseeing the launch of the new property is Cajetan Araujo, a global hotelier with more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality. Prior to joining Andaz Lisbon, Araujo served as general manager at W Algarve Hotel & Residences, where he also led the successful launch of the brand’s first Portugal property. His career has also included leadership roles at W Goa, and St. Regis Hotels in Doha, Mumbai, and Miami’s Bal Harbour.

“Andaz Lisbon is more than a hotel, it’s a statement of intent,” said Araujo. “It’s the first of a new generation of Andaz properties, designed to reflect the soul of its surroundings, inspire meaningful connections, and empower guests to explore with curiosity and confidence. I’m honored to lead this exciting journey and together with the team we are super excited to soon welcome our guests who can now book their stay with us.”
