Bahia Principe has officially reopened its third property in the Dominican Republic with the Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana this month.

It will join two other properties that have reopened, Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana and adults-only Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar.

The 756-room Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana boasts two pools, six restaurants, four bars, a disco, a children’s water park, Spa and more. In addition to on-site offerings, guests here have access to the brand’s Las Olas Beach House located within the complex.

As part of the brand’s Grand category, guests can enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi, 1 hour per day complimentary kayaking or paddling, and a number of entertainment options fitted for travelers of all ages, including activities inspired by the local Dominican culture, such as dancing Bachata and Spanish lessons.

“We remain committed to reactivating tourism and helping the local community in Punta Cana, especially past employees that had been part of the Bahia Principe family for years,” said Lluisa Salord, senior vice president of global sales, contracting and distribution.

The brand’s safety and hygiene measures were developed in collaboration with HS Consulting, international consultants specialized in the tourism industry, including proper social distancing and increase of cleaning and disinfection to continuous training, health checks, digitalizing experiences and more.

Additionally, for travelers who require COVID-19 testing for their return flights, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is able to facilitate this on site through partnerships with local laboratories and clinics. Guests can contact the front desk at each resort upon arrival to schedule testing prior to their departure. Test results will be received within 72 hours prior to departure as required by the CDC.

The complimentary antigen testing will be available until March 31, 2021.

Additionally, should a guest test positive for COVID-19 while staying at a Bahia Principe property, they (and a plus one) will be able to extend their stay and quarantine on site for up to 10 nights at no additional cost.
