Canada Luxury Rail Line Adds Four New Destinations

by Richard D’Ambrosio  April 05, 2018

Rocky Mountaineer, a privately-owned luxury rail company, has added four new destinations for its 2019 packages, spotlighting Western Canada.

The company said it is offering its “largest promotion of the year” for these itineraries, with early booking bonuses of up to $1,000 CAD  ($850 USD) in added value, per couple.

The 7-day First Passage to the West Canmore Self-Drive includes two days on the Rocky Mountaineer, four days with a rental car and lodging at the new Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, about 20 minutes from Banff. Guests can hike, explore caves, or discover unique restaurants and boutiques.

Guests can go a little deeper into the wild with the First Passage to the West Kananaskis Self-Drive. The 7-day package includes two nights at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, four days exploring the area by rental car, and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer. The region affords opportunities to mountain bike, ride horses, play golf, or relax in a Nordic Spa

First Passage to the West Sunshine Village, which sits at an elevation of 7,200 feet within Banff National Park, offers opportunities for nature walks, gondola rides, biking, and swimming in hot springs. The 7-day package features two nights at Sunshine Mountain Lodge, four days with a rental car to explore the region, and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer.

Finally, Journey through the Clouds Mountain Adventures is a 10-day package featuring three nights at the CMH Cariboos Lodge, where guests arrive and depart via helicopter, two and a half days of guided heli-hiking, and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer.

The Early Booking Bonus promotion is available on qualifying 2019 packages of eight days or more. Guests can apply the added value offer to additional hotel nights, sightseeing tours, Alaska cruises and more. The Early Booking Bonus offer is available until August 31, 2018.
