The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile is resuming operations with a stronger focus on health and safety through Marriott International’s Commitment to Clean Program.

“With safety and wellbeing in mind, we are listening to our guests and associates and working to implement new offerings and physically distant experiences to help reimagine the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile journey,” said Thomas Robertson, general manager.

“The most important element of welcoming back guests is doing it safely, and we are going beyond cleaning to advance care across our entire hotel experience.”

As part of the Commitment to Clean Program, Marriott is modifying all aspects of the customer experience by implementing rigorous cleaning and safety guidelines, including facilitating social distancing, regular safety training and requiring face coverings for all associates, enhanced cleaning of rooms and common spaces and modified floor plans and seating arrangements in public spaces and eateries.

Also under the Commitment to Clean program, meetings at the hotel have been modified to accommodate a number of guidelines including custom room sets for ample social distancing, separate registration areas, single-serve and pre-packaged food and beverage offerings for meals and breaks and adaptive live-streaming support to facilitate hybrid meetings with virtual attendees.

Marriott is further prioritizing its virtual services as digital meetings become the new norm. Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile guests will have access to the hotel’s in-house event technology partner, PSAV/Encore to provide both the technical expertise and equipment to support hybrid and virtual events ranging from small to large scale conferences and exhibitions.

The facility also recently completed a $110 million property-wide renovation, featuring a revamp of its 68,000 square feet of multi-use event and meeting space, and a new a 9,000 square foot fitness center.
