Choice Hotels CEO Steps Down
by Briana Bonfiglio
Choice Hotels International is searching for a new CEO after Patrick Pacious stepped down from the role.
In the meantime, Dominic Dragisich, Choice Hotels’ chief growth and strategy officer, is the company’s interim CEO, and Pacious will serve as an advisor through Aug. 31 to support the transition.
Stewart W. Bainum, Jr., chairman of the Board of Directors for Choice Hotels, said Pacious’ leadership “helped define a new era for Choice Hotels.”
Pacious was with Choice Hotels for nearly 21 years and served as the company’s president and CEO since 2017. In that time, he grew the hotel group’s portfolio from 11 to 22 brands, including significant upscale and extended stay acquisitions of Radisson Hotels and WoodSpring Suites.
“Choice Hotels is a stronger company today with a solid operational and financial foundation, a talented leadership team, and significant long-term growth potential,” Bainum said. “The Board has full confidence in Dom’s leadership and the company’s continued momentum as we conduct a comprehensive search process for Choice’s next CEO.”
