As the United States marks 250 years this summer, hotels and resorts nationwide are celebrating the milestone anniversary with special events and promotions.

Properties in Washington, D.C., Orlando, San Francisco, New York, and many more cities are offering all kinds of packages and activities, some highlighting the region’s culture and contributions to American history. Here is a list of some of the most exciting America 250 hotel and resort offers and celebrations.

Amangiri to Host Fourth of July Weekend Celebration

Amangiri, Aman Hospitality Group’s luxury resort in Canyon Point, Utah, is hosting a two-day celebration to celebrate America 250 from the lens of the American Southwest. On Friday, July 3, Amangiri will host a Native American hoop dancing and storytelling session, where guests will learn from Tomas Hunt, born and raised in the Navajo Nation, about Navajo traditions that have shaped the country. Later that night, there will be guided stargazing under the Utah desert’s pitch-black skies. On Saturday, July 4, the resort will celebrate Independence Day with a special dinner, s’mores around the fire, and live music and fireworks.

Gaylord National Resort Offers America 250 Experiences

Located in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C., this nearly-2,000-room resort has big plans for celebrating America 250. Notably, the property debuts its 1776 Suite Stay, a luxury $1,776 package for a two-night stay in an executive suite that includes resort fees for both nights, a $250 resort credit per night that can be used toward food or spa services, a curated American Whiskey tasting flight at The Whiskey Revolution, an in-room welcome amenity (including a bottle of champagne and red, white and blue macarons from the resort’s Capital Confectionery), complimentary valet parking, and personalized service including early check-in and late check-out.

In addition, Gaylord National Resort is hosting fun events such as American Whiskey Tasting Experience; Stars, Stripes & Sweets Decorating Class; and 250 Dinner at Old Hickory. Guests can also book a stay on July 4 to experience the Celebration Above the Harbor Event. Packages are available for that event, as well, and includes an overnight stay in a deluxe room and exclusive event access for two to the resort’s top-floor lounge, Lookout 18, featuring a festive buffet, open bar, live DJ, and panoramic views of National Harbor.
