Hilton has signed a franchise agreement to convert The Sens Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Tapestry by Hilton, which will be renovated and reopen in 2026.
This is one of about 10 new deals in Mexico that Hilton has made in 2024 alone, making the country one of Hilton’s largest growth markets. The hotel company has more than 100 properties in Mexico and about 40 now in the pipeline.
“Our rapid growth in Mexico is driven by a winning combination of strong partnerships with exceptional owners, local market expertise and award-winning brands which enable us to bring to life the hotels travelers demand in the destinations they want to visit,” said Pablo Maturana, vice president, development, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton.
Thie signing also signals Hilton’s appetite for bringing in new all-inclusives – the company has 15 all-inclusive resorts, and six of them are in Mexico, including Hilton Cancun, Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya, Hilton Vallarta Riviera, Hilton Playa del Carmen, and the recently opened Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe.
Sens Cancun is a beachfront property on Playa Langosta. After a total renovation, the hotel will have refreshed guestrooms and public spaces with vibrant design and artwork, elevated dining at nine restaurants, and a brand-new rooftop bar. Oasis Hotels & Resorts will continue to operate the hotel.
Next up for Hilton in its Mexico expansion will be Hilton Tijuana, expected to open in 2026, and Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara, anticipated for 2028.
